U.S. Early Career Combustion Investigator Award Winner Announced
On behalf of the U.S. Sections of The Combustion Institute, the CI is excited to announce the winner of the 2023 U.S. Early Career Combustion Investigator Award, Dr. Derek Splitter. This award “recognizes the contributions of an early career combustion investigator from within the United States” as well as “excellence in combustion research, the potential for future leadership in the field and service to the combustion research community.”

The 2nd Asia-Pacific Combustion Institute Summer School (APCISS-2) on Fundamental Combustion Problems in Outdoor Fires, hosted by the Chilean Section of The Combustion Institute, took place in Valparaiso and Vina del Mar, Chile, from 4-9 December 2022. The school brought together graduate students, postdocs, faculty members, and industrial researchers from over 15 different countries in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.
