The Combustion Institute is pleased to announce that the Call for Nominations for the 2024 CI Board of Directors election has been released. Every two years, The Combustion Institute’s membership has the opportunity to nominate and elect new directors for six-year terms from a slate of candidates. This list of candidates is assembled by the Board of Directors Nomination Committee and approved by the CI President.
The Call for Nominations provides instructions for submitting complete nomination packages. CI Section organizations and individual members are encouraged to self-nominate or nominate qualified colleagues to play a key role in guiding the future of The Combustion Institute. Nominations of candidates in combustion industry are particularly encouraged.
The election will be conducted using a Single Transferable Vote (STV) system. Results of the 2024 election will be publicly announced at the CI’s 40th International Symposium in Milan, Italy that will convene from 21-26 July 2024. Elected directors will begin their six-year terms at the conclusion of the 40th Symposium and serve until the end of the 43rd Symposium in 2030.
Members who plan to participate in the 2024 election must have an active account on The Combustion Institute’s Account Management System (AMS) that has been approved by your CI Section’s Administrator.
The deadline to submit nomination packages is 23:59 EST, 3 January 2024.
