“Experimental Combustion: Past, Present, & Future,” the 2023 UCI Combustion Institute-Summer School is now accepting applications through 31 May 2023. To be held from 20-25 August 2023 at UC Irvine in Irvine, California, the program will feature lectures, a poster session, a Past, Present, & Future Mixer, a mini-symposium, and more.
Important dates include:
- 31 May: Application deadline
- 1 July: Poster submission open
- 20 August: Summer school arrival and check-in
- 25-26 August: Summer school check-out
The program is focused on diversity in all facets, and talented professors/research professionals will share their valuable experimental experience with the next generation of researchers.
In addition, the UCI CI-SS includes three critical distinguishing features: (1) A heavy orientation towards experimental combustion; (2) A commitment to access, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ADEI) in all elements; and (3) An understanding of the past, the current state-of-the art, and the future of combustion.
