The Combustion Institute is pleased to announce the submissions website is now accepting one-page abstracts for Work-in-Progress Posters (WiPPs) for the CI’s 40th International Symposium – Emphasizing Energy Transition. WiPP authors can submit their abstracts to one of the 13 colloquium categories defined in the Call for Papers. Academic posters summarize a body of research in a visually engaging way that provides a clear, logical presentation of work. More information on how to prepare and submit a WiPP abstract can be found on the symposium website

Authors of submitted papers for presentation at the symposium will be notified of acceptance by the first week of April 2024. Authors whose work is not chosen are highly encouraged to submit a WiPP abstract to showcase their research.

WiPP submissions must be received by 8 May 2024 at 23:59 PDT to be considered for presentation. WiPP selection decisions will be delivered throughout the submission period, with all notifications to be sent to authors by 15 May 2024.

WiPP sessions will be scheduled to run concurrently with contributed oral sessions, and will be organized by the WiPP Co-Chairs:

  • Sudarshan Kumar, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay
  • Pengfei Li, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China
  • Amir Mardani, Sharif University of Technology, Iran
