The Combustion Institute is pleased to announce the submissions website is open for one-page abstracts regarding Work-in-Progress Posters (WiPPs) for the 39th International Symposium on Combustion. WiPP authors can submit their abstracts to the 13 colloquium categories defined in the Call for Papers. 

Submissions must be received by 23:59 PST, 04 May 2022. WiPP authors will be notified of decisions concerning WiPPs by 11 May 2022 

Authors of submitted papers for oral presentations will be notified of acceptance for presentation at the symposium during the first week of April 2022. Authors whose work is not chosen are highly encouraged to submit a WiPP abstract to showcase their research. 

Academic posters summarize a body of research in a visually engaging way that provides a clear, logical presentation of work. Accepted posters will be determined on the basis of submitted abstracts. In the coming weeks, poster authors will be able to find more information about storage and presentation instructions on the symposium website. 

WiPP sessions will be scheduled to run concurrently with contributed oral sessions, and will be organized by the WiPP Co-Chairs:

The 39th International Symposium on Combustion will convene in Vancouver, Canada from Sunday, 24 July through Friday, 29 July 2022. The biennial symposium provides a scientific venue for sharing ideas and experiences on the development and applications of combustion science.
