It has been brought to our attention that some CI members have received emails from “Global Travel Experts” to book accommodations for the CI’s 40th International Symposium – Emphasizing Energy Transition. This company is NOT affiliated with The Combustion Institute or the CI’s 40th International Symposium – Emphasizing Energy Transition. The appointed agency for handling accommodations for the upcoming 40th ISOC is MiCo DMC. More information is available here.

The below warning will also be posted on the 40th ISOC website. Remember, you will never be contacted by an outside organization to make your accommodations for Milan.

“Please beware of housing piracy companies. They are contacting delegates/sponsors to book rooms through their channels and are claiming that they control the rooms for the Meeting. They do not. These companies charge non‐refundable deposits from the moment you book their rooms; thus, making it impossible for delegates to cancel their reservations. In some situations, rooms are not booked but payment has been taken.”

We thank the members who have brought this to our attention. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like us to confirm the validity of any emails you may receive regarding 40th ISOC accommodations, contact office@combustioninstitute.org.
