The proposal deadline for 2018 Combustion Institute-Summer Schools is quickly approaching. Universities, CI Sections, and other qualified organizations are encouraged to submit a proposal in accordance with the defined guidelines no later than 31 March 2017.

As an international, educational and scientific society that promotes and disseminates research activities in all areas of combustion science and technology, Combustion Institute-Summer Schools foster a new generation of combustion scientists. Student participants meet world-leading scientists and work to build their own international network. The Combustion Institute, in cooperation with host organizations around the world, assemble CI-SS programs to harmonize and promote the global growth of combustion science and technologies.

Combustion Institute-Summer Schools are conducted in a diverse array of countries around the world. Each school serves to promote international scientific participation and the global growth of combustion science. Summer schools address a multitude of combustion fields i.e., sustainable energy supply, the impact on our environment, safe and cheap transportation, fire suppression, and others. These education initiatives correspond to societal needs and benefit the public.
