The Combustion Institute, the Local Host Team, and PCCs, arhonored to maintain the tradition of this 56-year international symposium series. Due to the continuing uncertainty of travel and the paramount concern for the health and safety of all attendees, the 38th International Symposium on Combustion shall be held as scheduled, 24-29 January 2021 in Adelaide, Australia, utilizing a Hybrid Model.

Following this model, members will have the option of registering for in-person or virtual attendanceGiven the current state of travel, we recommend that delegates register for virtual attendance before the early-bird closing date of 8 November 2020. If travel situations improve, delegates can later change to in-person attendance by paying the difference in registration fees.

Each presenter will submit a recording of their presentation, regardless of whether they attend in-person or virtually. (Specific instructions will be sent to presenters in the near future.) Attendees can expect the program to consist of a combination of live and recorded presentations.

We believe this model will allow for the maximum participation of speakers, authors, and attendees, and are looking forward to another successful symposium!
