As we move closer 36th International Symposium on Combustion The Combustion Institute encourages members to register and review the technical and social programs. As stated in past news items, accommodations are available as part of the registration process.

Throughout the week, sessions and events are scheduled to cover topics in 14 combustion colloquia. Participants will attend the Hottel Lecture, other plenary lectures, topical reviews, oral presentations, WiPP presentations, and the new Sessions on Industry Perspectives. The combustion community also has the opportunity to build new friendships and reignite lifelong relationships.

The Symposium will convene at the Coex Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul, Korea from Sunday, 31 July through Friday, 5 August 2016. The biennial Symposium provides a scientific venue for sharing ideas and experiences on the applications of combustion. Coex is conveniently located in the heart of the city’s business district with major 5-star hotels, a tremendous shopping mall, and convenient transportation. Symposium participants have multiple options for shopping, dining, and sightseeing in and around Seoul.

Seoul offers world-class entertainment, shopping, cuisine, and countless cultural opportunities. Graced by the Hangang River and the majestic Mt. Namsan, visitors experience the perfect combination of natural surroundings and modern urban splendor. Seoul has been Korea’s capital for more than 600 years. Traces of the city’s ancient legacy can be found in its museums and national treasures.
