Theoretical and Numerical Combustion Online Course
The second 2021 edition of the online combustion course “Theoretical and numerical combustion” will start on November 1st and end on December 17th. The course will enable engineers and researchers to understand the physics of combustion and the various methods used to simulate it.
This online course describes the theory and the tools used to simulate turbulent combustion. It is based on the textbook “Theoretical and numerical combustion” by Poinsot and Veynante (elearning.cerfacs.fr/combustion/onlinePoinsotBook/buythirdedition/index.php).
The participation requires two to three hours per week. No a priori knowledge of combustion is needed but participants should have a minimum experience in fluid mechanics and/or CFD. Each participant will receive a paper copy of the textbook.
