The Combustion Institute and the Korean Section are pleased to announce Work in Progress Poster (WiPP) abstracts are available for review on the symposium website. Categorized by colloquia, the available WiPP titles, abstracts, and author names can be easily navigated.

During past symposia, participants received WiPP abstract data on a USB drive upon arrival. The placement of WiPP abstracts online prior to the 36th International Symposium on Combustion provides an advanced opportunity to learn more about posters and plan their activities. For the first time in symposia history, web-based technology allows symposium participants to pinpoint the most important WiPP content to streamline discussions and build meaningful networking opportunities.

Academic posters summarize a body of research in a visually engaging way. WiPP sessions are organized by the WiPP co-chairs. Poster authors can find more information about storage and presentation instructions on the WiPP Presentation Instructions page of the Symposium website.

The 36th Symposium will convene at the Coex Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul, Korea from Sunday, 31 July through Friday, 5 August 2016. The biennial Symposium provides a scientific venue for sharing ideas and experiences on the development and applications of combustion science. Coex is conveniently located in the heart of the city’s business district.

As an internationally recognized site with an active combustion research program, Seoul offers our combustion community world-class opportunities to interact with scientists and companies in an exciting and dynamic environment. Graced by the Hangang River and the majestic Mt. Namsan, visitors experience the perfect combination of natural surroundings and modern urban splendor. Seoul has been Korea’s capital for more than 600 years. Traces of the city’s ancient legacy can be found in its museums and national treasures.
