The Combustion Institute is delighted to announce the new Account Management System (AMS) launched prior to end of 2016. Current CI account holders received a system-generated email notification from info@combustioninstitute.org in the last week of December. Those colleagues are encouraged to immediately activate their accounts.
Combustion scientists and practitioners not currently affiliated with CI are also encouraged to register for new accounts. To begin the process, select Register in the top right corner of this website’s header. A registration screen will display. Complete the information fields and then follow the prompts to create an account in just a few minutes.
There are many benefits to maintaining an AMS account. Users have the ability to register for upcoming events, and also submit abstracts, papers and posters to events processed by The Combustion Institute. Verified members of a CI Section receive voting privileges during biennial elections of the CI Board of Directors. All account holders receive a subscription to our quarterly newsletter that provides a regular source of information about announcements and events, biennial symposia, and advancements in combustion.
Maintaining a robust profile assists The Combustion Institute in our efforts to streamline communications and enhance event interactions. For example, participants of the upcoming 10th US National Meeting can now upload their abstracts prior to the 13 January 2017 deadline. In the coming months, symposium workshops and satellite meetings will have the ability to organize through the AMS for 2018. In future years, CI is investigating the best way to provide our international community the ability to network openly within the security of the AMS environment. As always, personal information is kept private according to CI Terms and Conditions.
The launch of our new AMS is exciting as the new system assists combustion scientists and practitioners around the world to stay informed about events and topics that lead to advancements which benefit society.
