The Call for Nominations for the 2018 Board of Directors election has been released. Every two years, The Combustion Institute membership has the opportunity to nominate and elect new directors for six-year terms from a slate of candidates assembled by the Board of Directors Nomination Committee.

The Call for Nominations provides instructions for submitting complete nomination packages. CI Section organizations and individual members are encouraged to self-nominate or nominate qualified colleagues to play a key role in guiding the future of The Combustion Institute. Nominations of combustion industry candidates are particularly encouraged.

New directors will be elected through the electronic election process first implemented in 2014. Results of the 2018 election will be publicly announced at the 37th International Symposium on Combustion in Dublin, Ireland that will convene from 29 July through 3 August 2018. Elected directors will begin their six-year terms at the conclusion of the symposium and serve until the end of the 40th symposium in 2024.

Members who plan to participate in the 2018 election must have an active account on The Combustion Institute Account Management System (AMS) that has been approved by the appropriate CI Section Administrator.
