The Call for Nominations for the 2018 Board of Directors election will be released in November 2017. Every two years, The Combustion Institute membership has the opportunity to nominate and elect new directors for six-year terms from a slate of candidates assembled by the Board of Directors Nomination Committee. Please visit CombustionInstitute.org in November to download the Call for Nominations and learn more about the submissions process.

Once released, the Call for Nominations will provide instructions for submitting complete nomination packages. CI Section organizations and individual members will be encouraged to nominate qualified colleagues to play a key role in guiding the future of The Combustion Institute. Nominations of combustion industry candidates are particularly encouraged.

New directors will be elected through the electronic election process first implemented in 2014. Results of the 2018 election will be publicly announced at the 37th International Symposium on Combustion in Dublin, Ireland that will convene from 29 July through 3 August 2018. Elected directors will begin their six-year terms at the conclusion of the symposium and serve through 2024.

Members who plan to participate in the 2018 election must have an active account on The Combustion Institute Account Management System (AMS). Each member’s account must be approved by the appropriate CI Section Administrator. Details on registering to vote will be released in early 2018 and available for download from this website and from your CI Section Chair.
