Site proposals for the 41st International Symposium on Combustion are now being accepted. The Combustion Institute encourages the submission of site proposals in accordance with the defined guidelines found on the Resources page of The Combustion Institute website under Symposium Materials. Both the Bidding Template and the Budget Template must be submitted in .pdf or .excel format together with proposals to be considered to host a future Combustion Symposium.

Once submitted, the Site Committee will review the preliminary proposals and provide feedback to potential hosts. The Site Committee will submit to the Board those revised proposals that meet two requirements: (a) the proposal must be of sufficiently high quality, as determined by the Site Committee, and (b) the proposed site should be in the proper geographic area such that the following rotation policy is followed.

The biennial symposium provides a scientific venue for sharing ideas and experiences on the applications of combustion. Questions regarding the submission of site proposals may be directed to Office@CombustionInstitute.org. The deadline for preliminary proposals is 31 January 2022.
