Join The Combustion Institute as we commemorate seven decades of innovation, dedication and growth of combustion sciences and research. If you would like to create a submission, the guidelines are below:

  • Purpose
    • Celebrate and commemorate 70 years of The Combustion Institute
  • Video length
    • Submission should be 30 to 90 seconds long
  • Content: Reflect on your experience(s) with The Combustion Institute. Consider the following topics:
    • a memory or experience from a previous Symposium or meeting
    • memorable relationship(s) formed through the Combustion Institute
    • your favorite Combustion Institute memory

We recommend creating a draft and prepare what you are going to say before recording.

  • Video Requirements
    • Format: MP4
    • Resolution: High resolution (1080p) or the highest resolution you can provide
    • Orientation: Your submission can be horizontal or vertical
  • Lighting
    • Front lighting is preferred to ensure your face is well-lit and visible
  • Audio Quality
    • Minimize background noise and speak clearly and directly towards the microphone
    • Avoid echoing
  • Submission Process:
    • Send your video submission directly to Gabriella Gray, Administrative Assistant, at CI_Admin@combustioninstitute.org. You can attach the video to your email or send a link to a free platform where we can retrieve your submission.
  • Deadline for submission: 4 November 2024

Video submissions will be updated periodically as they are received, be sure to check back regularly. We eagerly anticipate reviewing your contribution!

The Combustion Institute reserves the right to determine the content of video submissions posted to its website from videos submitted. Submission of your video constitutes consent for its use and replication by The Combustion Institute.
