The Instructions to Authors for Manuscript Preparation for the 39th International Symposium on Combustion are now available. Please note that formatting for submissions will be different from previous symposia. The strict word limit is being replaced by a page limit based upon a draft manuscript that must be submitted in the final two-column published format. It is expected that changes to the length of your submissions will be minimal as a result of this change. Colloquium categories are defined in the Call for Papers.

In addition, a new process will be implemented, in which every submission is screened for suitability for presentation and publication by an assigned Colloquium Coordinator (CC) or Colloquium Co-Chair (CCC) who is a subject matter expert of the manuscript’s research area. The Program Co-Chairs (PCCs) will consider their advice in selecting manuscripts for peer review and those to be rejected without peer review. See Reasons for Desk Rejection for more information.

Now is a good time to also review your PROCI Editorial Manager (EM) account information. In order to ensure that you receive all communications, relevant information, and have the ability to submit a manuscript, it is important that your personal information and primary email address in EM are correct and up to date.

To view your information and make updates, please take the following actions:

1. Login to your EM PROCI account. https://www.editorialmanager.com/PROCI/default.aspx
2. Select ‘Update my Information’ from the menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
3. Update any information, including, but not limited to, new emails, additional emails, primary designated email, affiliation, and classifications. Follow the prompts to save and submit the changes.

The 39th Symposium will convene in Vancouver, Canada from Sunday, 24 July through Friday, 29 July 2022. Questions can be directed to the CI office: Office@CombustionInstitute.org.
