The First International OpenFOAM Combustion Workshop
The First International OpenFOAM Combustion Workshop will be held on June 19-20, 2023 in Chongqing, China. On behalf of the OpenFOAM Combustion Workshop Committee, we look forward to welcoming you to this exciting event.
Fuel combustion is and will still be the key energy conversion process in the modern energy landscape. To decarbonize the combustion process, it is of great importance to reveal the detailed physical and chemical processes in order to develop novel technologies. The open-source package, OpenFOAM, has played an increased role in both fundamental and applied combustion research due to its modularized structure and comprehensive libraries. This workshop aims to discuss the recent progress and challenges and to facilitate the collaborations in numerical studies of combustion science and technology with OpenFOAM in different areas, including but not limited to:
- Laminar and turbulent combustion
- Chemical kinetics and emissions
- Supersonic combustion and detonation
- Gas turbines, engines and furnaces
- Spray and heterogeneous combustion
- Fire and explosions
- New combustion technologies
- AI and high-performance computing
The OFCW 2023 Organising Committee would like to invite interested parties to submit abstracts and stand a chance to present their research at OFCW 2023. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Abstract Selection Committee who will select and determine the final mode of presentation.
Detailed workshop schedule and information, abstract submission, and committee lists are available at https://blog.nus.edu.sg/ofcw/home/.
