JOINT MEETING THE GERMAN AND ITALIAN SECTIONS OF THE COMBUSTION INSTITUTE
41st Meeting of the Italian Section of the Combustion Institute
23-26 May, 2018
Teatro Tasso in Sorrento Piazza Sant'Antonino 1, Sorrento
The Joint Meeting of the German and Italian Sections of the Combustion Institute, including the 41st Annual Meeting of the Italian Section (ASICI), will take place in Sorrento (Italy), May 23-26, 2018. The venue of the meeting will be the beautiful Teatro Tasso, located in the center of Sorrento, near the renowned Piazza Tasso. The style of the meeting will conform to the informal nature of these events. They are aimed at giving the opportunity for exchange of expertise and discussion between scientists and technologists working in the field of combustion, in all its fundamental and applied aspects, as well as in neighboring fields (pyrolysis, gasification, fuel processing and upgrading). Participation of PhD students and young researchers to the meeting is warmly solicited.
Contributions are requested to the following Topics:

•Detonations, Explosions and Supersonic Combusiton
•Fire and Safety Research
•Biofuels, Biochemicals and Biorefinery
•Fuel Processing and Upgrading
•Novel Concepts, Technologies and Systems
The meeting will consist of sessions for oral and poster presentations on May 24 and 25 and the morning of May 26. Each morning session will be opened by a plenary lecture. Lunches on May 24 and 25, and a social dinner on May 25 being served on the spectacular terrace of Hotel Europa Palace will be offered to all participants.
Instruction to authors:
The presentations at the meeting will be oral or poster. The authors are encouraged to express a preference, but the final decision will be taken by the organizers according to organizational needs. Those wishing to present a paper at the conference should send to the ASICI section secretary (email@example.com) an extended abstract, indicating the most closely related topical area among those listed above, no later than March 16th. The 6-pages abstract (in English) should conform to the template available on the ASICI website. The decision of the scientific committee on the acceptance of the extended abstract will be notified to the authors within April 13th. An award will be given to the best presentations delivered by PhD students or young researchers during the meeting.
