10th US National Combustion Meeting
Papers are solicited for the 2017 10th US National Combustion Meeting, which will be hosted by the University of Maryland at College Park and by the Eastern States Section of the Combustion Institute. The schedule for abstract and paper submissions is:
December 28 – Abstract submission begins
January 13 – Paper abstract submission deadline (Midnight EST)
January 31 – Notification of accepted paper abstracts
February 20 – Poster abstract submission deadline (Midnight EST)
February 27 – Full paper (6-page limit) submission deadline (Midnight EST)
March 13 – Announcement of final program schedule and notification of accepted posters
Paper and poster abstracts and accepted full papers must be submitted through the Combustion Institute website.
Papers should be submitted to one of the following colloquium topics:
- Laminar Flames
- Turbulent Flames
- Coal and Biomass Combustion and Gasification
- Reaction Kinetics
- Diagnostics
- Stationary Combustion Systems
- Fire
- Heterogeneous Combustion, Sprays & Droplets
- Environmental Aspects of Combustion
- Detonations, Explosions, and Supersonic Combustion
- Internal Combustion and Gas Turbine Engines
- Micro-Combustion and New Combustion Devices
Paper and poster abstracts should be 150-200 words and include 2-4 keywords. Instructions for formatting the full paper (6-page limit) submissions are available at the meeting website (http://blog.umd.edu/combustion2017/)

March 17 – Early registration deadline (Midnight EST)
The Central States Section will continue to host the Art Competition. The deadline for art submissions will be April 7, 2017 at art@cssci.org. Instructions on art submissions are available at the meeting website http://blog.umd.edu/combustion2017/submissions/.
The 10th US National Combustion Meeting will be held at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center located on the campus of the University of Maryland at College Park.
