The 41st International Symposium on Combustion was held in Kyoto, Japan, from 26–31 July 2026, bringing together nearly 2,000 attendees from more than 40 countries for a week of scientific exchange, collaboration, and discussion.
With more than 2,000 presentations delivered by over 1,200 presenters, the 41st ISOC was the largest symposium in the history of the event.
The week featured a diverse program of cutting-edge research and provided valuable opportunities for attendees to engage with colleagues, establish new professional connections, and exchange ideas across the international combustion community.
The symposium also offered attendees the opportunity to experience Japanese culture and hospitality while gathering in the historic city of Kyoto.
Additional highlights from the symposium, including invited speaker videos, event photographs, and other materials, will be made available in the coming weeks. Attendees are also invited to share photographs from the event by sending them to or using #41stISOC when posting on social media.
